About Barrett Henry

Licensed REALTOR since 2003. Florida Broker Associate since 2017. 23+ years of real estate experience helping homeowners protect their homes and their futures.

Who I Am

My name is Barrett Henry. I am a licensed REALTOR and Broker Associate at REMAX Collective with 23+ years of real estate experience. I have dedicated my career to helping homeowners navigate some of the most stressful situations in real estate — and foreclosure is at the top of that list.

I earned my REALTOR license in 2003 and became a Florida Broker Associate in 2017. A Broker Associate holds a higher level of licensure than a standard sales agent, requiring additional education, experience, and a separate state exam. Over the past two decades, I have worked with hundreds of homeowners, investors, buyers, and sellers across the full spectrum of real estate transactions. That depth of experience gives me a perspective that most agents simply do not have — especially when it comes to the unique challenges of foreclosure, short sales, and distressed properties.

Why I Started Florida Foreclosure Help

I started Florida Foreclosure Help because I saw too many homeowners lose their homes — not because they had no options, but because they did not know their options existed. By the time most people reach out for help, they have already spent weeks or months paralyzed by fear, ignoring letters from their lender, and hoping the problem would resolve itself.

It rarely does. But here is the truth that most homeowners do not hear: the earlier you reach out, the more options you have. Florida is a judicial foreclosure state, which means every foreclosure goes through the court system. That process takes time — typically 8 to 14 months — and at every stage there are opportunities to change the outcome.

My goal is to reach homeowners before it is too late and help them understand every path available: loan modification, forbearance, repayment plans, short sales, selling before foreclosure, deed in lieu, and more. I do not push any single solution. I listen to your situation, evaluate the options, and help you choose the one that makes the most sense for you and your family.

My Approach

After 23+ years in real estate, I believe in three things when it comes to helping homeowners in distress:

  • No judgment. Financial hardship can happen to anyone — job loss, medical bills, divorce, death of a spouse. I have seen it all across hundreds of transactions, and I will never make you feel ashamed for asking for help.
  • Straight answers. You will not get sales pitches or runaround from me. I will tell you exactly where you stand, what your options are, and what I honestly think is your best path forward.
  • Your interest first. If keeping your home is possible, I will help you fight for it. If selling is the better move, I will make sure you get the best possible outcome. Either way, the decision is always yours.

I serve homeowners across the entire state of Florida — not just Tampa Bay. Whether you are in Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tallahassee, Fort Myers, Pensacola, or any community in between, I can help.

My home base is the Tampa Bay area, where I directly serve Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Citrus, and Hernando counties through three REMAX Collective offices. For homeowners outside the Tampa Bay area, I work with a vetted network of partner agents who share my commitment to putting homeowners first.
